Gen Up August 2011

I’d like to introduce to you the delegates of Gen Up Autumn 2011 (From left to right: Emma Lewis, Will Cory, Stuart Little, Timur Tugalev, Ben Major, Sandy Boutell, Claire Glasgow and Victoria Haining).
So I’ve been pretty busy the last few months! I have recently completed TRC Media’s Gen Up programme - a five week training initiative for emerging digital talent. It is designed for graduates or those new to the industry who have a real talent for creating digital content.
I’ve had a fantastic time at Gen Up and I’ve met so many incredibly talented individuals (see above). Over the last five weeks I’ve met a great number of successful and inspirational people from design, marketing, television and marketing industries. We had immersion weeks at both BBC Scotland and Channel 4 as well as an individual internship: I went to Realise, a digital design agency in Leith.
Finally I’d like to express my gratitude to Marie-Claire Farmer, the Gen Up co-ordinator. She done a marvelous job arranging the course and her masterful organisational skills made our toing and froing easy peasy! I’d also like to thanks everyone at TRC Media. They are a superb bunch of people!
Post-Gen Up I plan to return to Realise to continue my internship. This will be a great opportunity to develop my portfolio, gain some invaluable experience and enhance on my digital skills. Most importantly, I am to keep up the momentum generated by Gen Up!
